Omanbapa AgriTech Ltd and MoFA Deepen Partnership to Advance Ghana's Agricultural Modernisation

Private-sector participation in Ghana's agricultural transformation received another boost today as Omanbapa AgriTech Ltd deepened its collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) during a high-level meeting held at the Ministry's Head Office in Accra.

 

The engagement brought together government officials, industry executives, and international agribusiness partners to discuss investment opportunities in sustainable agriculture, precision farming, organic agricultural inputs, and farm mechanisation.

Omanbapa AgriTech outlined its vision of supporting Ghana's agricultural transformation through technology transfer, organic fertilizers, organic pesticides, soil enhancement solutions, AI-driven precision farming, and the proposed establishment of a fertilizer blending and manufacturing plant in the Ahafo/Ashanti Region.

 

The company also announced its sponsorship of the 42nd National Farmers' Day Celebration, providing:

1. Seven promotional billboards
2. Ten telescopic flags
3. Five hundred MoFA-branded caps
    

Receiving the sponsorship, Hon. Eric Opoku, Minister for Food and Agriculture, commended Omanbapa AgriTech for supporting one of Ghana's most important agricultural events.

"Their support is invaluable as we prepare to honour farmers, who are the backbone of Ghana's economy," the Minister said on behalf of the National Farmers' Day Organising Committee.

 

The collaboration reflects the growing importance of public-private partnerships in modernising Ghana's agricultural sector. Industry observers believe that investments in local fertilizer production, precision agriculture, mechanisation, and sustainable farming technologies will play a critical role in improving productivity, reducing import dependence, and strengthening food security.
