Before paying for a used vehicle abroad, ask:

  1. How old is the vehicle?
  2. What is its accident and damage history?
  3. Has it been flooded or severely damaged?
  4. Does it have complete identification and ownership documentation?
  5. Can it satisfy Ghana's applicable conformity requirements?

These five questions can save an importer substantial money. Avoid relying entirely on online photographs or auction grades.
