HO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY-TEIN REGISTER MORE STUDENTS AS NDC MEMBERS
In a bid to welcome and engage fresh students, the Ho Technical University (HTU) chapter of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) organized a free photoshoot during the matriculation day festivities. The event, held on, Friday, 23th February, 2024 aimed to provide fresh students with a memorable experience while introducing them to the TEIN fraternity and its affiliated political party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) because the party is now people’s choice.
The initiative, spearheaded by the HTU TEIN executive committee, saw enthusiastic participation from both fresh students and continuing members. Against the backdrop of the university's iconic landmarks, students donned their academic regalia and posed for professional photographs, capturing the significance of their matriculation day and the beginning of their academic journey at HTU.
The photoshoot not only provided students with cherished mementos of their matriculation day but also served as a platform for recruitment into the TEIN fraternity and the NDC party. TEIN Executives engaged with participants, sharing information about the organization's mission, values, and activities, as well as the political ideology and agenda of the NDC.
The event proved to be a resounding success, with over 90+ new students expressing interest in joining the TEIN fraternity and pledging their support for the NDC party. The free photoshoot not only fostered a sense of camaraderie and belonging among students but also served as a valuable opportunity for political engagement and civic participation.
Mr. Cyril Kekeli Amevor, President of HTU TEIN, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the positive response from participants. "We are delighted to welcome our new students to HTU and to introduce them to the TEIN fraternity and the NDC party," he remarked. "The photoshoot was a wonderful way to commemorate their matriculation day and to engage them in our mission of youth empowerment and progressive advocacy."
Looking ahead, HTU TEIN remains committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students while actively promoting the values of social justice, democracy, and economic development. Through initiatives like the matriculation day photoshoot, the organization continues to attract new members and mobilize young people in support of its goals and objectives.
As the academic year progresses, HTU TEIN looks forward to further engagement with students, both on campus and within the broader community, as it works towards building a brighter future for the youth of Ghana.
In general, the matriculation day photoshoot organized by HTU TEIN served as a memorable and impactful event, highlighting the organization's commitment to student welfare, political activism, and community engagement.
