Ghana buying Cocoa Beans from Neighboring Countries

Ghana is the world's second-largest producer of cocoa beans, a commodity that is the core ingredient in chocolate, a global snack. It is a major producer of gold and cocoa and has one of the continent’s highest gross domestic products (GDP) per head in the past.
However, the country is now in an economic crisis to an extend that, once leading cocoa producing country, can no more supply processing companies with raw cocoa beans than to import them from Nigeria and Code D’Ivoire.
